i try to make it at home but somehow not as good as bought outside.

I once made a lamb curry in a huge cast iron steel pot over a fire in the bush while camping on a weekend away, had about 2kg of lamb, baby potatoes, marrows, baby corn on the cob, onions, baby gem squash and rice, was fantastic, cooked over the fire for nearly 5 hours, the meat was soft and tender and falling off the bone!
Must do again when I get a chance!

Chinese food from a takeout in Los Angeles I believe it was called simply "Ho-Ho Kitchen". The same people owned it for at least 30 years and never changed the menu much, so they knew what they were doing. Sadly, it is long gone now.

The first steak after I came back from a Deployment -- seriously. I don't even remember the name of the restaurant -- just that it was a PLEASURE to have nice, hot, juicy American Food after what I had to eat while deployed .. and savored it.

I absolutely love Chinese food. In Philly there are Chinese places on every corner! And egg rolls are a dollar without tax! Good times.

banana pancakes...thai style on the beach on a remote island in thailand last christmas. it was freaking amazing. oh and the phad thai and thai iced tea that day were sooooooooooo good. yummy. i miss thailand.
