Farmers?? Haha!! That's funny! We are educated though...Unfortunately the racism is true. There are many racists here, but it's usually elderly people who are stillliving in the old world. The younger generations are totally different! I'm Mexican and married to a white boy and his grandfather is major racist!! He calls me 'the Mexican girl', but I don't get mad because I know he's old and will probably die soon, haha, kidding! I don't get mad because I know that's the way it was back then.

I am not American, but my stereotypes for people from Texas are: they are farmers, conservative, they are less educated than people in other parts of USA, their clothing is funny, they are racist,,,

Got a great joke about Texas.

This Texan moves to Colorado. Big guy, ten gallon hat, the works. Anyways, a few months later the man dies. The man at the mortuary doesn't know what to do, so he asks his doctor friend to help.

The doctor asks what the problem is and the man explains that the Texan is to big to fit into any of the coffins that he has on hand. The doctor thinks on it for a while and finally comes up with a solution.

The next day the doctor comes back and says the problem is solved. The mortician, curious, asks what the doctor had done. He tells the man "I gave him an enema".

The man was buried in a shoebox.

I really have never met a Texan so I guess they are probably similar to everyone else.

As a Texan who has lived all over the world, thanks to Hollywood, the majority of the world thinks we are stupid and uneducated. This is because our accent is one of the easiest to imitate. However, I wouldn't give anything to be from any other part of this globe. I was raised with a high moral standard and strong values. I was taught to love my fellow man and my country. I was also taught the proud herritage we as Texans have.

EDIT: It is a very common misnomer that we as citizens of Texas can vote and become our own country again. THIS IS FALSE!!! See link below for more info, scroll down to "Statehood" to find this information.

FYI: Did you know that we are the only state that can fly our state flag level with the US flag and be the same size as the US flag when flown at the same height? Most people didn't know that.

we think that Texans are laid back and respectful, we try not to think of you as America now thinks of Bush, since he is from Texas.
