Because "black people" are not calling themselves ****ers, "black people" are saying ****a. I am sorry for you if you can't understand why "black people" would get offended, or for that matter why "white people" would be offended by you saying "whitie" that is ignorant!

I think that word is derogatory and disrespectful...regardless of tone, regardless of context, and regardless of who says it.
It's a horrible word. Black people might use that word as a term of camaraderie, but would be extremely offended if someone from another race used it. They should be offended REGARDLESS. If you use words like those in your own circles, people outside your circle are likely to use them. And that's NOT OK.
It's not ok in movies, it's not ok in songs, and it sure as hell shouldn't be ok in everyday conversation.
Black people need to remember what their ancestors when thru when some racist pig was was screaming that slur at them.
And white people need to try to imagine the kind of world they lived in. We can't change the past, but that doesn't mean we can't learn from it.
If they still want to call each other that, I guess that's they're decision. But that does not give us the right to.

I have often asked myself that same question. If a word is taboo, shouldn't it be taboo for everyone? If not, why doesn't every race have a little word that they get to use, and no one else. I feel that until this issue is resolved, only white people should get to use the word "cracker". The rest of you must use the term edible wafer when referring to a "cracker" of any sort.
Oh that's gonna make some people angry.

Coz it'z different when white people say it , they used to say it in a v.bad & racest way.. so OFCOURSE black americanz would feel offended & won't like it, n'white people are to blaim for this. they made up this word az an "insult", so how the hell would u expect them to be OK with it now?? racisum still existz & no black man or woman would see this word az just another word they say...
N'about them sayin' it, well, if ur black, itz OK,, why ? coz that'll assure otherz it'z not said in a racest way, also, black people are tryin' to use this word in order to "change" it from being an insult to just another word in thier vocab.

I think it depends on the way you say it. white people say it usually in a mean way, meaning offensivelly. I think people should just be secure with themselves and let stick n stones break there bones, but names will never harm them! God made us all equal! Just some of us have a better tan!

because its TOTALLY different. black people's referring to themselves a "****a" is a way that they have made the term their own....its like a woman calling herself or another woman playfull, "a sl*t". however, if a man calls a woman a sl*t, joking or not, 9/10 the woman would want to slap him. make sense?

KJV Romans 14:11-12
11. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
It won't matter what color we are on judgment day. God is color blind. If He doesn't see the blood of His Son Jesus on your soul, you will miss eternity with Him in heaven.
