When I was younger and we had a live tree my dad always did two things to it and it never got dry or lost needles all over the place...first when he got it home he re cut the base so it would draw the water up better,,when it's cut the sap seals the base...then he would take four aspirins and place them in the base with the water.
I hope your tree stays fresh and the needles stay on.. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family

Very simple. Get it into water as soon as possible (best within one hour) after they cut the bottom at your local tree lot. Add a bunch of sugar or sprite to the water to give the tree some quick acting food.

information particularly plenty has it lined, extremely the section approximately lowering off extremely, and the moisture. the only subject i will function is that some human beings placed sand or a minimum of a few pebbles in the backside of the field--sand facilitates carry the moisture in. Sand or pebbles holds the tree up extremely so the moisture can extra actually be picked up into the tree. According to the Arbor Foundation just plain cold water will do the job you don't need to add sugar or whatever it isn't natural, just keep it well watered.
