White-collar crimes cost the United States more than $300 billion annually according to the FBI. White-collar crimes are fraud, bankruptcy fraud, bribery, insider trading, embezzlement, computer crime, medical crime, public corruption, identity theft, environmental crime, pension fund crime, RICO crimes, consumer fraud, occupational crime, securities fraud, financial fraud, and forgery. The tools of the trade are paperwork or through the computer. White collar crimes go largely undetected but do great harm.

Because they can hire better lawers. Media convinces us it is worse, and who pays for media? Plus it is less of a personal crime, so people aren't as afraid of it.

Street crime is more easily to be seen such as stabbing,robbery etc.But white collar crime is not easily be seen because ussually it is hidden by the maker.White collar crime has bigger impact to national economy than street crime but it is difficult to be proved or identified.We should make a team for investigating it and it need more time for revealing..Yes white collar crime do a great harm .A computer crime can be made in a very short time if its control is weak.The fraud makers will make effort for hiding their fraud by changing its records,its reporting,its evidence etc
.Making a false supporting document is easy if its internal control structure in an organization is weak and its management is un honest or their integrity can not be believed or can not be trusted.The.internal control can not be used as an early warning system if the involved senior managers have collusion.to each other.The principal check and balance does not work orderly..

Thats innacurate, Dangerous crimes are more of a concern. Street crimes, in general, are more dangerous than white collar crimes.

street crimes usually cause direct violence, and are more noticable,,,,,though the crimes you mention can cause great harm,,,,
