if your wrong you apologize and you say i wanted to make up for it so i got you this or i'm doing this for you. etc. Oh but as a law student if its crimanal dont ******* ever turn yourself in. try to forget about it, see a shrink. become the ****** pope. PRison aint a nice place. But if you cheated on your ***** or offended your mom just come out and say your sorry dawg you feel so much better. Come out straight and plain. Be simplistic and frank when trying to show your true intentions. Everyone can see a snake in the grass.

The guilt is your punishment. Forgive yourself, don`t do it again, and start doing little things for this person every day. Then come up with a really nice idea of just the two of you going away for a weekend. Then you can try to make it up to the person the best you can.

You have to tell the truth. The truth will set you free! When you hold it in, it will make you sick! There is nothing like being honest! If you want people to respect you then you better tell the truth! He will either forgive you or move forward in his life! You owe it to him to let him make his own decision.By not telling him you are making that decision for him & that is not fare!
Well....hope that you find it in your heart to tell the poor guy the truth!
You can change for the better if you do that!
Take Care...& Good Luck!!!

Stacey ... depends entirely on what it was you did ... guilt is a funny thing .. it only ever affects the one person .... If you really do feel guilty and it's making you feel like crap ... that could be punishmnet enough ... but as I said before ...depends entirely on what it was you did
If fessing up will hurt the other person ... might be best to keep it to yourself ... and suffer in silence

I respect honesty, if it's a true friend, things may get a little tough for awhile but they will forgive soon enough! I would own up to the __________, in the long run you will feel better! Merry Christmas

First apologize and then ask what you can do to make it up to them . This way the person knows you are being sincere about feeling guilty about what you did .

I have found that it is best to never lie and to never do anything that would make you feel guilty. Always tell your spouse if you did anything wrong. The longer you wait to confess, the worse it looks.

the only way to really get rid of your guilt is to admit to them what you did, and go from there.
