I don't know where did you get this. I was on campus today (in Anderson) and I heard NOTHING bad about it. Probably just people saying that they couldn't believe it, but NOTHING MEAN. So, I really don't know where did you get this info. I'm glad that happened, but there're more important things to take care of. Finals are in the next corner...

UCLA is a big school, with a lot of students and a lot of alumni...
When a team that's never won anything (in football) wins a big game like that, there will always be a number of fans that will act like jerks... don't worry about them... a year goes by very quickly, and before you know it, UCLA will be facing USC again on the gridiron... and probably with a much different result.
Two things in particular will cause some UCLA fans to act like jerks... (1) they beat a 'cross-town' rival and (2) they kept said rival from going to the national championship game, which USC surely would have, had they won.
In baseball, I noticed a lot of White Sox fans acting like jerks after the Sox won the World Series in 2005... but their reign was over as quickly as it began...they didn't even make the playoffs this year...
Some fans who haven't been through a lot of seasons think that when their team wins a big game/series, the winning will last forever... it never does... unless you were a Celtic fan in the 60s or a UCLA basketball fan from the mid-60s to the mid 70s...
Nowadays, teams are brought down as quickly as they're built up. And so are their fans.

I haven't heard anything of the sort, I'm sorry for you though, it sounds like you heard loads of slanderous talk.
Well, USC was outplayed and in a way I'm glad, because all along I really felt that Florida should be going to Glendale for the national title matchup. They did have a murderous schedule; the toughest in all NCAA football. In my opinion, if you give Ohio or Michigan the schedule Floirda had, neither team gets through it with only one loss....anyway, that's an entirely different post for y/a.
Back to the Bruins....UCLA played very well and worked for that victory. If guys are talking like jerks after the fact, they just make themselves look bad.

just let ucla bask in it for a while. they haven't beaten a team of usc's caliber in a long time. but remember what everyone said about usc this year, "if you're gonna beat them, this is the year to do it" because it's not the old trojan dynasty that it was last year, there were very few defenses that could stop that offense. and fans should know, ucla beat usc because of pete carroll. ucla's defensive coordinator who came up with the excellent defensive gameplan learned from..guess who...carroll when he was coach for the patriots and assistant at usc. so bruins actually owe it to carroll.
ucla does have a lot of mean fans and do get overconfident at times...look at last year. they were undefeated until the end and the main reason? they got too overconfident in themselves. just let them bathe in glory for a while. but until ucla dominates usc for a couple more years...the trojans are still the team of los angeles.

I really haven't heard of UCLA fans misbehaving. Perhaps they gloated a bit at the game but hey, when USC has owned you for the last seven years you are entitled to raise a little cane.
I will never forget when LSU who was a heavy favorite and played MS State up at Starkville. LSU had pretty much owned Ms State as well. If LSU won then they would have gone to the Sugar Bowl. As it turns out MS State pulled off the upset. When I left the stadium MS State fans were waiting for us by tearing up packs of sugar and dumping them on the ground chanting 'No sugar for you!'
I thought it was pretty cool. It's all part of the fun and I certainly wouldn't consider it mean-spirited.

YES you UCLA people were/are acting like jerks! (well, at least some of you!)
As I walked out of the student section, some guys from UCLA were standing outside the tunnel taunting us saying, "You still have men's golf." That's just mean.
Some stupid girl waived a pompom is my face (not just near me, but actually hitting me) chanting "Take off the red shirt," whatever that means.
I can't even remember seeing people from USC doing stuff like that.
Bottom line: WE KNOW WE LOST. We're upset already. You don't need to rub it in.
