There are 12 jurors with 2 alternates. i just served jury duty.

Twelve and I think 2 alternates in case 1 of the twelve gets ill or is disqualified. The alternates sit and hear all of the testimonies being heard. So they are up to date to take the place of 1 if need be.

some cases only require a jury of 6.
