I love Tarantino and when I heard that he was promoting the movie Hostel I really wanted to go see it. But I have heard so many bad reviews about the movie that I wonder if it is worth my time, what did you guys think of the movie? And dont be afraid of giving away any plot points.

I really liked Hostel, it wasnt scary, it was more gory. Since the movie is set in europe, there's a lot of nudity and attractive females but there are a few quite discusting parts. For example, an asian woman get's her eye burnt at by one of those powerful fire shooter-thing... (not sure what they are called). A great movie and yes, it is worth watching.

I love Tarantino and honestly Hostel was a big let down for me and it was a cheap rip off of the movie Saw.
I love gore and thats all this was good for, but to be honest with you I'd give it a 4 out of 10. I think you should watch it just so you can see for yourself what a horrible rip off this movie is. There are a lot of gross parts which I enjoyed though lol. Good movie to watch with friends.

Ok, basically the first half of the movie is lots of sex and topless girls, and the second half is tons of gore and badly-lit shots. I think it had a really good premise but it could have been done better. But it is an okay movie, if you like Tarantino and gore doesn't bother you, check it out. Though if you like these kinds of movies, I'd recommend seeing Saw and Saw II instead.

As a fan of gore movies, I thought it was horrible. The first half featured lots and lots of bare breasts, and the last half was .. okay. The story wasn't anything original. The only things worth seeing were a couple of the gore shots, but there are definitely better gore movies out there.

Not his greatest work. I personally dont like all of the screwing in it. But it just had a sick twist in it all. Kinda makes me not wanna go to Amsterdam. LOL. One part that is absolutely hair raising and almost made me faint was when the guy gets up after being tied down to a chair has the back of his feet or ankels cut. Gross. I personally loved from Dusk till Dawn. Much better and a lil more tasteful..

It was horrible!!! The only gory part was at the last 15-20 of the movie. It was like a movie where the camera follows the guys around and we so happen to see some bad stuff happen to them. It was horrible! Kinda like his vampire movie but that one was good!

I thought it was a bit gory, even for Tarantino. It was like kill bill times 10 with some Hannibal lecter and Texas chainsaw.
A bit to sadistic for me.

My best friend and I were planning to backpack through Europe next summer, but after seeing that, we changed our minds in a hurry. It scared the crap out of us! I love scary movies and that one is one of the best I've seen so far. However, it is really gory so if you have a weak stomach...bring along a bucket...lol Have fun!

I thought it was pretty good. Three guys going on a trip and getting set up from the begging it is crazy you would enjoy it if you liked kill bill 1&2 that is about how much blood is in it.
