I am interested in buying an acoustic guitar, so I can continue to record an album of mine. I'm relatively inexperienced at guitar and would love to learn. So I come to you: what would be a good acoustic guitar to get, for a relatively good price?

Epiphone acoustic guitars are gems. They make excellent ones under $200. Check out this one: http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_epiphone_pr150_acoustic_guitar?full_sku=101832319

An acoustic guitar is something you have to play. You can have two identical guitars but one sounds great and the other not so much, and the recording is even more touchy.
The best way is to go to your local music shop and play some guitars until you find one you like the sound of, and always play the guitar you are going to buy, not the display model.

Yamaha makes some pretty good acoustic guitars at a pretty good price. Guitar Center has had them on sale for under $200.

I just bought a Carlo Robelli for $119.00(reg $239) from Sam Ash.

Sounds good, plays great, and also comes with a pickup to plug into an amp/computer/studio etc. For an extra $15 you get 8 set ups of the guitar which is a great deal.

I've also had low cost Yamaha and they are usually good. Some I've tried the action is murderously tough on your fingers.
