Yep. No one gets into high levels in the federal government unless they are members of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and they follow that groups dictates. That's both dems and reps. Bill, Hill, Colin Powell, G. Bush, G.W. Bush, Rice, Rumsfield, etc. etc. etc. If they weren't members of the CFR, they wouldn't be in a presidential administration. They make us THINK we actually have a choice in policies.
Best Wishes,
Sue

This is a good question. I asked something similar recently and was answered that the USA is a Republic, not a democracy...what ever that means.
I dont see it as democracy at all. Republican or Democrat..who cares..I see little difference...just a matter of belonging to one club or the other.
Im glad I live in Canada where minor parties from localized areas have the ability to win seats in the House of Commons. The Green Party almost is in the door...and the NDP still hold 15% of the seats...not to mention those crazee frenchmen ;) who hold even more seats than that! What about that Radio DJ who won a seat as an independent last election! Oh Canada
Yeah USA politics are a sham....probably indeed a planned deception...switching puppets...makes the show more interesting and believable. People say there are other 'parties' in the USA too...but I dont see them having any power at all.

Although there is a dominant 2 party system, any rising party can supplant another, just as the Republican Party supplanted the Whigs with the nomination of Abraham Lincoln.
We don't have a true democracy, by the way. We have a representative republic. True democracy is unworkable almost as much as socialism and fascism.

It is not a dictatorship when there are two parties. I agree we should have more parties rather than less.
Both parties have a slow change of focus over time. The Repubicans are no longer anti-slavery- they have actually gone to pro-"keep the lowerer classes down". The Democrats are no longer "Tax and Spend". They show more fiscal responsibilty than the Republicans, more "pay as you go".
