By then he'll be remembered as one of the worst presidents, instead of the worst president. I'm 56 and remember too well how bad he was.

All depends on who writes the history, if teaching still exists, and if the planet still has Humans. I am doubtfull of all three.
I voted for Jimmy Carter, not because of any Political Affiliation, but because he was the best choice of the two insane men running for that office.
He did ok, taxes rose, not drastically, but that's what they do. People died not a whole bunch and there was a Disaster Agency if they got hurt. He didn't get us involved in an armed conflict with another nation. I am certain he made some errors, we all do, but they were not such massive errors that the entire world was aware and ashamed because of. If politics was a Gladiatorial Competition, I give him a thumbs up for thinking about actions and consequences.

Sorry, one of the under 45 set, however I DO know who Jimmy Carter is thank you very much!
The thing is, with the way Global Warming is going, none of our offspring will survive to provide progeny for the next few generations for people to make it to 500 years from now, so you may want to lower the # of centuries a tad...

Jimmy Carter will be viewed as a mediocre president but a great humanitarian. He has done so much good in the world with his writing as well as Habitat for the Homeless. He is an amazing man. A lot of you made fun of him, but check out his humanitarian work online. He won the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize "for what presenters cited as decades of work seeking peaceful solutions and promoting social and economic justice." (CNN.com)

As a peanut farmer from Georgia that stumbled upon the presidency of the United States. Personally, Jimmy Carter was a wimp who didn't really make touch decisions. He wasn't faced with the challenges that GWB has been faced with.

Manager of the universe, hun?... "can't answer under of the age of 45..." It goes to show you that there are many with little years under their belt being wiser than some old farts... probalby more important than your silly question is that Bush & Carter will still be, 500 years from now.
