They turn it to a finer consistancy like saw dust.

Wood is actually white on the inside of trees when freshly cut (depending on the tree). But they bleach this dust.

They then use things with like Silk Screens (Silk Screens are also used in Printing for designs on Clotheing) to make a thin layer... and you might as well go check their machines because I could say it's baked and weighed and all kinds of stuff but there is more then one type of paper and they are made differently.

Added: With things like this they LOVE to use Presses. It would smash it down and out,.. make it very thin,.. and get the water out. Some things are made this way. If you work in anything connected to paper or printing you tend to have presses for things. Just a cutter (it's a machine that can cut thousands of pieces of paper or many stacked card board,.. the next thing I talk about holds the material still) has thousands of pounds of pressure per inch,.. which means it can destroy a limb or your body if you got in it >.<

Having lived near a wood-processing plant, I only know this much - whatever they do stinks to high heaven and the entire town smells like rotten cabbages.
