I am an Afghan National, male, 26 years old. I am high school graduate and would like to go to US for getting higher education. Please recommend a university that becides can facilitate for finding me a job to afford my study in US. I have been working with a humanitarian organization in Afghanistan for four years in different positions (Data Analyst, Project Assitant and currently as administrator)

Many Thanks,

Your best bet is to go to a state sponsored university which is largely a commuter campus (which means only a small number of the students live on campus). This is because your visa will allow you to work on campus only and not off campus.

At colleges with a large residential population, many of the students are eager to work in the campus center, library, computer centers, etc. However, at commuter campuses, students mostly have jobs off campus and the on campus jobs are more plentiful.

One campus that may meet your needs is California State University, Dominguez Hills. CSUDH's tuition is around $11,000 for out of state students, they offer limited housing (apartment style), and have a broad range of academic programs.
