A 4D Ultresound is the most advanced however it is not going to look like a photo of your baby, Medicade (in Michiagn) only pays for them when Medically necissary, and most clinics should have at least a 3D ultrasound that gives you very good results as well

Ok its like a 3-d or 4-d ultrasound and medicaid does not cover anything but a regular ultrsound with minimal pictures. They don't take any longer, but have awesome pictures.

3-d ultrasounds show the baby in great detail, but usually aren't covered by insurance, especally medicaid. You can usually find a business that charges to do the, anywhere from $50-$200.

My insurance wouldn't pay for it unless medically necessary. If not, it was $400 or $500 out of pocket. I am high risk, so we qualify, but opted not too. We get all the regular ultrasounds we want though!

I think they are just called 3D ultra sounds and medicaid does not pay for them because they are not necessary to the baby's health, but that is just here in Utah I don't know about any where else. Hope this helped.

3d/4d ultrasound. they are really neat. i got to see what my son looked like just weeks before I had him. I had TennCare, which is through Tennessee. It paid for it, but I was high risk. you will have to ask your doctor if they pay for it or not. Oh by the way.... A friend of mine just had one done and she is only like 20 weeks, I wouldn't recommend getting one that early, the baby just looks like some sort of skeleton.

I had medi-cal and they only pay for one ultrasound. Whether it be in the beginning to determie how far along you are or at like 20 wks. But it wasn't the 3D kind, I think they're too expensive for them.

I highly doubt that the Medical card will pay for it, they tend to lead more toward the cheaper route and the 3D ultrasounds cost a pretty penny
