so emo people hate being conformists and copying other people's style but when i see an emo guy they all have the same combed black hair, gauges, tight girl pants, tight t shirts, and eye liner. whos the conformist now. emo people are whack

Seems like a lot of people today think they're being non-conformist when really they are putting themselves in a group with a ton of other people. Whether it be "punk" or "emo" or "goth". Whatever floats their boat. But, people shouldn't act as though they are being very different when you can point to every third kid walking down the street that look the same way they do!!

There are Punks, Goth, and the New Emo.

Punks go nuts giving into randomness and trying to prove you can't make their choices for them. They do what they want, even if it makes others flentch and will let you know they will hurt you if you cross a line they tell you about. Punks main goal is too annoy people into seeing there is such a thing as freedom... and they are prepared to fight for it. (I wonder how many are BoarderLine Personality Disorder since the Goths are Bipolar).

Goths are most likely to have a medical condition and may be open to the past (novels). They are aware of problems with humanity and accept they are going to die. They do not have to wear all black but are usually protrayed as wearing nothing but black (infact some goths [may] love [a particular color like] the color bright green or pink and may tend to dress entirely in that or in a combo of Black, white, and their favorite color). Their external my be an expression of their internal or an accomplishment. They may be down right depressed (but they have to given up because you can't control the world and things depressing do exsist)... or some times there are people that follow Goths into Goth and really aren't Goth,.. just unimagianative. They are often Manic Depressive,.. so they probably have Mania and Mixed States where they try to kill themselves or get something painful like tattoos and pierceings.

Emo is a new lable created a a couple years ago (before that point it was just someone being lazy and not completeing words like Emotional). Emo were Tweens with the goal to be or pass off as Goth but no solid support. NOW Emo are usually people that claim they are Tweens then they cause problems like Trolls (these are the people that try to ruin and make everyone leave a place by takeing over it and then they leave when their job is done or they are busted out and over whelmed by the Regulars). However, so far most EMo have turned out to not be Emo. There are some "Emo" I have seen that are actually adult predators pretending to be virgin homosexual tween boys. So Emo is just like a Trend that will hopefully pass as noone invloved in it stays " Emo" for very long,.. the most I'll expect a true Emo to last is 3 years. Whereas there are people that have been Punk since the 70's and people that have been goth since Childhood but lables were hard to find (probably some that have been so since the 70's as well). Yes, I do know people that are in their 40's & 50's that are Punk or Goth and have been so for decades. I would say if you want some really Retro Punk look into Cowgirls like Calamaty Jane and if you want some Old Goth look into Churches, Priest, Monks, and Edgar Allen Poe.
