If she is pregnant, a home test wouldn't be able to tell until after she misses her period. And it doesn't sound like she is to me, anyway.
It sounds like it may be a UTI (urinary tract infection) which is sometimes caused by sex. It happens because bacteria gets backed up into your bladder and breeds there. It is common, and if she went to the doctor for it, she can get antibiotics. And her parents wouldn't have to know that she is having sex.
Or it could be a yeast infection. There is over the counter medication that can be used for that, but she will need to see a GYN to make sure that's what it is before trying to treat it herself. Again, her parents wouldn't need to know about the sex if it is a yeast infection.
Was this her first time? If it was, the soreness could have just been from that. Or perhaps (and I know you're gonna think this is really gross) she just wasn't lubricated enough and ready all the way, and the redness is irritation from tiny little tears and bruises. But that would have gone away by now, more likely than not.
If it doesn't go away in another week or two, or if she misses a period, then she will need to see a gynecologist. If she misses a period, she needs to take a home preganncy test. You can buy them at any pharmacy or even at the dollar store if you are short on cash. If you buy a cheap brand, I would suggest getting two, just to make sure. They are quick, and the results generally show up in less than a minute.
Stressing about it can also cause her period to skip, so if she misses and the test is negative, that is probably why.
Tell her good luck and to keep on using condoms every single time if she's going to be sexually active.

Withdrawal works about eighty% of the time, the possibilities of getting pregnant whilst menstruating are small as well. So i'd say she is *traditionally* now not pregnant. Some females experience a transformation in discharge when pregnant, some do not. If the discharge smells funny/dangerous/exclusive she desires to move to a health care provider proper away. At the same time the chance of being pregnant is also small the threat of STDs shouldn't be. Some females suppose pregnant proper away, some do not. Some are hungrier, some a sick, some need to pee rather a lot, some do not. Some have tender breasts, some do not. Teens experience being pregnant the equal as adults. It is also special relying how a long way alongside she is. In case you are at ease get a pregnancy experiment for her and let her use it at your home. Once she knows she is (optimistically) now not pregnant motivate her to head to a healthcare professional or planned Parenthood (which is private). She's going to hopefully she will probably be more inclined as soon as she knows she is not pregnant. She wants to get verified for STDs, she needs excellent data on defending herself. Deliberate Parenthood most of the time sells delivery manipulate (drugs and condoms) for lower than elsewhere with much less embarrassment. Excellent of luck

She might be, but she needs to take a pregnancy test. Tell her to wait until her period is due. If it comes, she's not pregnant. If it doesn't, buy a test. However, she should REALLY relax about that because the chances are very low. They used a condom.
Being irritated and burning when she pees have NOTHING to do with pregnancy, though. That sounds like a urinary tract infection. She can take baths with vinegar (pour a cup into the bath water) and drink cranberry juice every day to get rid of the infection. If it doesn't get better after a week of vinegar baths and cranberry juice every day, it might be from an STD and then she WILL have to see a doctor.
Go get some vinegar and cranberry juice but she should tell her parents about the urinary tract infection just so they know something's up. She doesn't have to say anything about sex. You can get a UTI from lots of things and if it doesn't get better they'll have to take her to the doc. She can tell the doc she had sex and is worried about STDs, so she can be tested ... but even if she has one she can just keep telling her parents it's a bad UTI. That's not the best idea, but we can't make her tell the truth. The doctor won't tell them anything.

she is red and it hurts? It sounds more like an infection or an allergic reaction to the condom. If they used a condom then the chances are slim that she could be pregnant, but it is still possible. She needs to go to a doctor. She could have a major infection that needs to be seen about. As far as her parents being mad, she wasn't thinking about that when she was having sex, so she needs to fess up and tell her parents. It could be life-threatening.
I read where some are saying the doctors can't tell her parents anything. That all depends on the state. In some states if you are under the age of 18 they tell your parents no matter what.

Okay, firstly, being "all red down there, and hurting when you pee" are NOT signs of pregnancy. More like a STD or Yeast Infection, Bladder Infection and so on. She should definately go to her doctor, at least on the pretense that she *thinks* she has a UTI etc, sex wouldn't even have to come up in the conversation.
*If* pregnancy is suspected you won't know until at least a week before her expected period date. By then you can try a home test.

why does she think she's pregnant? you didn't say if she's "late"or if she's having symptoms. to me it sounds like she has a yeast infection and it's really common in ladies and you don't get it from somebody like an std. i had mine when i was 17 and i wasn't having sex with anybody at that time so i went to a teen clinic because like her i didn't want my mom to know so i did some tests and they gave me medication for it. i got a cream and it worked. help her find a teen clinic in your town maybe you can ask some friends or at school it's totally confidential and it's specially for teenagers. there she can find out if she's pregnant or if she has an infection. also i read that when you use a condom 15 out of 100 get pregnant and the most effective method is the shot only 3 out of 100. good luck and hopefully this helps.

Sounds more like she has a urinary tract infection and needs to see a doc to get treatment for that. It is very common but has to be treated so it doesn't get worse. She could just tell her parents that it hurts when she pees and doesn't have to tell them that she had sex at this point in time. It would take at least 4 weeks or so to find out if she got pregnant and will just have to take a test then if she is late on her period.

most likely no... anyway im 15, so dont quote me, but most likely she has got an infection so it is best if she checks it out with a doctor. also does your friend know if he has slept with other girls/guys? it could be a STI. if you are 15 or over, im pretty sure that your friend can ask your doctor without parental supervision, however you would need to have your medicare card it you want free consultation, you can register for one if you're over 15.
you can buy a pregnancy test and pretty sure that that it cn be tested out a week later. however it is still best if you go to one of those centres or see a doctor on this matter. if she is, your friend would need to tell her frieds sooner or later anyway.

She would not be pregnant yet, she would need to ovulate first weither she will become pregnant she will have to wait till her period comes or does not. But the red & soreness down there is not a sign of pregnancy rather a sign that she got irratated from the sex or a STD! She needs to see a doctor they can not tell her parents anything unless she tells them they can!!!

It sounds like she either has a bladder/ urinary tract infection which would cause burning and urgency ..or she may have contracted an STD. Regardless, she needs to tend to it so it doesn't get worse and she can be certain what the problem is. Also, condoms sometimes can cause irritation if not properly lubricated or if there is an allergy. good luck from a nurse.
