marriage in my view is a form of security. By marrying a woman a man is securing the fact that he wont have to compete with other man and wont have to share his mate, and a woman would ensure that she would receive the protection and sperm of a man. The ultimate biological aim of marriage is procreation and passing of one's genes down into the next generation. Strically speaking from a biological stand point, marriage is a selfish arrangment between a man and a woman (mostly a man) who wants to create his offsprings through a female which he sees fit. Marriage could be motivated by the desire to have kids, or cultural and religous impulses or influences. Some marry to obey culture, some to objey biological drive, some to secure sex, and some (a very few) for love. Now what is love? that is still a nother question but in my view love is a personal preference and likening for another woman's similiarty of action or genes to a man that makes them want each other. Love can lead to marriage but obviously marriage not to love.

The marriage can be a biological reason only in communities wherein unmarried men and women are not permitted to communicate with each other. It must have been started to relate the parentage of children and make them liable for the responsibility of bringing them up.

Nature requires the Male and the Female to bring forth human life! That life requires constant input from both the Female and the Male to develop into a stable entity!
The Female. normally cannot bond with a male that is involved with another female. Neither have the right to cause the child
to suffer the consequences of coming up without both parents.
Ask any child if it wants its mother to take on another male or if the male should take in another female.
Do you want your parents to divorce?

Marriage is a religious construct. Sociologists think that men likely created marriage as a means to keep a partner and not have to attract a new one each year, take from that what you will.

Marriage is an archaic institution with no logical place in our modern world. There is nothing innate or biological about it.

Marriage is ordained of God. He is the one that created it...it is for a reason.
The greatest joys come from family life. Man + woman = children = joy
Its the breakdown in marriage that has ruined our society.
