At the begin of our marrgie I put my mother before my husband, because my brother and my husband got into a fight and my mother threw my husband out. It was my brothers fault when my husband left my daugther and I did not leave with him. Which resorted in our seperation, and now we are back together and I feel he puts his mother before me. His mother is very mean and he knows this and she is very mean to me, and when I asked him to talk to her about it, he told me "as long as she is nice to me and our daugther that is all that matters." What are your feeling on this topic?

When a man marries a woman he marries her family as well. Same as the wife. But did your parents not hear what the preacher said " If anyone has any objections to why this marriage should not take place, speak now or forever hold your peace"??? There is truth in that. When the preacher or justice of the peace makes that statement he is basically saying that if u have anything to say please say it at that moment and after they marry the inlaws have nothing further to say in a negative fashion. They cannot protest nor try to break apart any marriage after given the chance to speak nor are they allowed to cause problems in the marriage. Good luck.... My mother in law is now my ex mother in law.... LOL

OMG get your mothers OUT of your marriage!!!!!

You married your husband not his mother and he did not marry yours.

You put your mother before the man you promised to love honour and worship (or whatever) till the day you both die. You did not do that. This unfortunately has given his mother plenty of ammo against you.

You have much to make up for and many wounds to heal. Good luck

So, its ok for your mum to be mean to him and kick him out and hurt his feelings and break up your relationship but when his mum returns the favour you dont like it!!! Wakey wakey!!! your mum needs a good kick up the rear! You sound very young and immature! If you have a problem with your mother - in - law Tell her Yourself!!!!!! Do your own dirty work and grow up!!!!

They say karma is the worst payback. Try counseling and sit down and have a long talk about what happened in the past and vow not to let it happen again.

I believe that a man or woman should put his or her spouse and their children first. The spouse becomes his family. Not that the parents and siblings aren't they just get moved to the back burner, so to speak. Not that I preach, but it's in the Bible.

If your relationship is truely going to work, you both need to stand by each other when your parents start playing thier games. His mom is probably doing that because of what you did to her son, however, if he wants your marriage to work he needs to stand up to his mom and you need to stand up to yours.

Your first line says it all. Perhaps you, your bro, & mom may need to apologize to your husband......AND his mother. You all offended her son.
