It is 1.6, or 1 3/5. All you have to remember is that dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal. You know reciprocals, right. Y'know, the reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2....5/9 and 9/5...1/3 and 3 (well, 3/1 actually)...Any number multiplied by its reciprocal equals 1. But I digress.
To do a division problem involving fractions, you simply turn the divisor (number after the division sign) into its reciprocal and multiply, for example...
3/4 divided by 2/8 would be the same as
3/4 times 8/2 (which is the same as 4) so
3/4 * 4=
12/4 =
3
One more example
6/10 divided by 2/3=
6/10 * 3/2=
18/20 =
9/10
Hope this helps.

Okay, here is the process to divide fractions:
4/5 divided by 1/2
You then invert the 1/2 (you always invert the 2nd fraction when dividing fractions)
Now you have- 4/5 x 2/1
You multiply the numerators (the top number of each fraction) by each other and the denominators (bottom number of each fraction) by each other.
The numerators are 4 and 2, you multiply them together to get 8.
The denominators are 5 and 1, you multiply them together to get 5.
Now you have one fraction: 8/5. If you want a mixed number you will get 1 and 3/5. Otherwise, if you convert to decimal form, you will get 1.6
To recap:
A. 4/5 divided by 1/2
B. 4/5 x 2/1
C. Numerator: 4 x 2 = 8
Denominator: 5 x 1 = 5
D. 8/5
E. Simplify to 1 and 3/5 or 1.6

Here's a hint: to divide by a fraction, simply flip the fraction and multiply instead.
in your example,
4/5 divided by 1/2
is the SAME as
4/5 multiplied by 2.
The answer is 8/5, or 1 and 3/5.
The reverse is also true. If you are given:
120 multiplied by 1/2,
it is the SAME as
120 divided by 2.

4/5 divided by 1/2 is the same as 4/5 multiplied by 2/1 . Remember when you divide a fraction by a fraction you're multiplying it by its reciprocal.

Okay, its 4/5 divided by 1/2.
1) you change the division sign into a multiplication one
2) you swap the 1/2 to its reciprocal which is 2/1
3)multiply. 4x2=8, 5x1=5 so it would be 8/5

In a division problem involving two fractions, the math rule is to rewrite the problem as a multiplication problem and invert the last fraction. So the problem becomes
4/5 x 2/1. Multiplying the numeraters and denominators together, we get 8/5 or 1.6
