Sounds like labor-- I've never read/heard anything specifically about vaginal pains and labor itself, but I can see how your contractions could be manifesting itself down through your vagina and especially in your back. (which could mean you might be in back labor-- If so, try positioning yourself on your hands and knees for a while--it may help turn the baby.)

Start timing your contractions. If they seem regular, go to the hospital. Since this is your 4th kid & you're already 100% effaced..and 2 cm dilated, sounds like it may go quickly-- So, if you think you're in labor, don't wait too long.

Good luck!

EDIT: You said it's 2 sharp pains every 2 hours? Well--that doesn't sound like labor. My guess is the baby's just settling into your pelvis and it's causing pain. I know with my son, I'd be walking along and then I'd suddenly have to stop from some sharp pain. If the pains last longer than 5 seconds, it may still be a contraction. Have your symptoms changed yet?

I think baby is comming, they say the more pregnancies you have the earlier the babies come. Give your OB a call/page since you were that far along last week he may want you to come in to be checked at L&D you may be 4 or 5 by now, they will keep you & induce you to create more contractions if they are not steady. Good Luck

Sweetie you could be going into labor! Especially if you 100% and 2. Do these pains come and go? If so start timing in between pains. Good luck!

My friend described exactly what you are describing with her 3rd (she said she didn't feel it in her first two) and she had her baby two days later. Good luck!
