My can is on it's last leg, tags have been expired for almost 3 years. I'm laid off from work and I have no money for my 2 teenagers for Christmas or much food and bills.

Get a job...and maybe even a second job. How old are the boys? They can get jobs and atleast make their spending money. You need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and make it happen.

One way to have more money is to get a roommate. You could rent a room out in your house. Then you have tax free income with out having to work any extra. Of course you have to screen the tenant and have some written ground rules.
If you don't like that, you could get an extra job such as dog sitting for people when they go out of town. You could have them bring the dog to your house and then you don't even have to go anywhere and you can make money. Look for more info on the web for instructions on how to have a pet sitting business.

im with aaapowers.... God works wonders. go to church, our church helps us out a lot. you get unemployment checks? you said you are laid off. you need to get your tag's up to date before you get a fine. would your family be willing to help at all?

join a church! i always hear stories from my mother how they help people in their congregation who are having financial problems
