i don't think it is any thing during the cold. just have to get rid of the cold. good luck.

Over the counter meds like Alka Seltzer Plus or NyQuil help relieve some of your symptoms, but as far as trying to get your sense of taste back, I haven't found anything that will truly help that. I think you need to pretty much ride it out.

Eat really spicy food. It won't give you back your sense of taste, but it will make you forget about it for a while.

You lose your sense of taste because your nose is stuffed up and usually your sense of taste and smell is connected. Take a lot of decongestants.
