We have some, I can almost gaurantee that there are people from each party who read these areas trying to get a feel of how the country feels. I have heard on news cast phrases I have read here the day before. Also I am pretty sure there are people who read here and never answer or ask any questions that can be influenced by what they read.
I doubt we here or any one particular site has earth shattering influence, but something does come out from here and hopefully it will be good, and right leaning.

Yahoo politics is a forum expressing public opinion. This is even better than the polls and surveys conducted on people because the participants in this forum are based both in US and spread around the world with different views and political leanings.

If we on Yahoo! Answers ask & answer good enough questions & answers to make an impact on each other, maybe then that influences will be passed on in our own personal lives & this reciprocating effect could bring about an effect on goverment. So, yes perhaps it could happen.

virtually none. blogs and answers sites are different things. some tech savvy- politicians might browse, but as Ted Stevens knows, the internet is just a series of tubes.
