The first ever written code was the Code of Hammurabi, it was created in 1780 BC while the Torah was approximately written down in 1280 BC. The Rigveda, the one mostly considered as the most important, was written between 1700 and 1100 BC while the Qur'an was said to be written down between 610 AD and 632 AD
