yes, you are allergic to something. you should take benadryl & also wash your face.

have you changed litter recently? were you doing/around anything else that might have caused this?

allergy testing is always a good idea.

You need to take some benadryl aka diphenhydramine to reduce the swelling. You seem to be allergic to something in or near the litter box whether it is the something in the litter I am not sure. It could be minute dust particles that fly up when you put new litter in the box. If you have never been tested for allergies I would consider getting tested and be sure you always keep an antihistamine like Bendadryl in the house.

Sounds like you are allergic to something in the cat litter and you don't have to touch your face, just the dust from the litter when you empty the pan could be causing it. Take a benedryll and continue with your ice pack. And get someone else to change the litter box or go outside to empty it.

Good Luck

Sounds like you are most definitely allergic to something, more than likely the cat littler. Take Benadryl and put an ice pack on your eye to reduce swelling. Also call your allergist and tell him/her your symptoms. Allergies can change over the years...what you weren't allergic to 5 years ago, you might be today.
