I'm trying to create a playlist of sorts that doesn't have the standard "White Christmas" type songs. Although these are great songs, I'm looking for sillier songs such as "I Want a Hippopotomus for Christmas."

Well the hippo song, while hilarious, is basically a childrens silly song, in which case, others that you might like are:

All I Want For Christmas Is My 2 Front Teeth
I'm Getting Nothing For Christmas
Darcy The Dragon - Roger Whitaker
We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Muppets Version
I Hate Christmas - Oscar The Grouch
The Night Santa Went Crazy - Weird Al

And the funniest Christmas song isn't a kids song ... Blink 182's I Won't Be Home For Christmas.

My kids and I just did our downloading spree today for xmas carol's, lol.

These are all good ones, but an eclectic Christmas CD must have the following songs…

1— “What if it doesn't Snow on Christmas” by Joe Pesci (Hilarious!!)
2— “Donde Esta Santa Clause” by Charo (Come on...It funny already!)
3— “Marshmellow World” - by Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra (Classic Fun!)
4— “The 12 Days of Christmas” by the Muppets (Miss Piggy rocks with her singing "5 Golden Rings, ba dum bum!" )
5— “Jingle Bells” by the Jingle Cats & Dogs (Simple Family Fun is pretty awesome!)
6—"The Christmas Song" by Alvin and the Chipmunks (It cracks me up every time)

Enjoy! Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!!

My mom's favorite is The Twelve Pains of Christmas, and it's the first one I think of when I hear funny Christmas songs. Everytime it would come on the radio she would turn it up and belt it out. Lyrics include unhappy people trying to hang Christmas lights, shop at the last minute, dealing with their in-laws, and getting drunk.

Although I will admit you have good taste; I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas is my favorite!

The Twelve Days After Christmas - the lyrics discuss exactly what was happening at "My True Love's" house with the arrival of all those critters and all those people. Needless to say she eventually threw them and him out. My husband likes this one so much he had his choir sing it at a school concert and the audience was in stitches. It's fun!
