3 things -- cable not secure, power supply has died, or motherboard is friend. You need to check and see of the power supply's fan is spinning. The power supply is the little metal thing in th eback of the computer where you plug in the AC power cable. When you turn on the system, see if the fan spins, or tries to spin. If it does not spin then your problem is electricity, bad power supply, bad cable.

If it does spin, you need to narrow it down from power supply to motherboard, to internal wiring.

If this problem is sudden - then check cabling (loose wires/cables) if it dies a couple of times before completly quitting - then its probably a power supply. If you need to replace it, dont go buy some cheap one - power supplies are important and shouldnt be taken lightly, get an Antec brand - they are cheap and very good. Bring your existing PSU (power supply) to a store and have them get something similiar.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
