You will want to continue wearing the pad for another day just to be sure. When you first get your period it can be rather sporadic and you may not bleed for a while and then bleed some more so wait and see. If you don't have any more bleeding by tomorrow night then I would say it is probably safe to say your period is done.

Early on your periods may vary quite a bit from light to heavy and may seem to start and stop. It's safer to wear at least a panty liner for a couple of days to prevent unwanted surprises. But do change these every few hours to stay "fresh" and avoid infection risk.
If you start using tampons, you will want to have lighter aborbencies for the lighter days and also should change no less often than 6 to 8 hours.

just keep it on for rest of day, better not have an accident. be prepared for next one, count 28 days from date of ur first one and put a reminder. it should happen again 28 to 31 days on. dont worry if it doesnt come for another few months either, but things should get regular at least by age 15. so u have a long wait i presume?? :o)

When you do get a stain, wash the clothes in COLD water. Also, if its light clothing or underwear, soak it in the sink with cold water and a little pour of peroxide (from the brown bottle). Works well if its a brand new stain.
And congrats on this new stage of life. It can suck sometimes, but its a natural part of life - and u seem to have a good grip since you can come on here and ask about it. 1000% better than I was!

If there is blood when you wipe...red or brown..youre still on it.
If there isnt...its over. Or gravity might be on your side temporarily. Wait it out. Wear the pad til you are positive. blood stains are hard to get out.
