I am working on my Masters of Arts in English with an emphasis in Teaching Eng. to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am looking for people who would volunteer to email me their chat histories (from MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, IRC, GoogleChat, or any other chat program) and then print and (snail) mail a signed "informed consent" form.
Your name and the names of any people you chat with will be kept private. I will use direct quotes from your chats, but will do my best to mask private info. I will contact you for follow up questions as needed. This study could be submitted for publication in a scholarly journal.

For reasons obvious reasons, I am having difficulty finding participants, both here and among my friends.
I am a graduate student and I will give you the name of my university and my adviser for this project. You can find that person's email address or phone number on the university website, contact her, and then feel confident that you are releasing your information for a serious academic pursuit.
