College doesn't suck, but your life does. I didn't mean to offend you, not at all, but I met a lot of people who thought that life sucked and changed their minds when they fell in love with the one that loved them back. Once you make some friends in the college, friends that have the same interests as you have, you'll find college more...friendly and even fun, at times.

It only does till you leave!!!! Then you hate work, work you have to get up much earlier everyday, get asked to do overtime and dont have anywhere near as much of a social life. Plus they wont let you away with not taking things seriously. Alot of the ppl you work with are dull compared to those you know in college when everyone is more out to have a good time. Your friends all become dull around you aswell. Once you've graduated you'l even reminisce about nights sat up finishing that essay etc. College only seems like hard work until its over then you want to go back trust me!!!!

oh god, where to begin. hmm, they make all these ridiculous rules about having to show up to class, you are at the mercy of the profs and their rules, and to top it all off, you spend all your hard-earned money in an attempt for a better life, to put up with this b.s. Oh, and I absolutley loved the extra little fees that you have to pay to go to the college, even though it's stuff that you don't use (sports fees: I never went to a single sporting event, student activities: usually skipped out on those too) Yea, college sucked really bad.

btw, going to college does not mean you won't end up on welfare later on, and just because you don't go, doesn't mean you'll be on welfare either. the best thing you could do for yourself is develop a good work ethic and work your butt off wherever you are employed.

It sucks because you just spent 12 years in school, and now you face at least 4 more years. It's not wasted, though.....trust me it's not. This too shall pass, and you'll be so much better off because of it.

you need to provide more context.

why does college suck?

if you gave us some specific reasons or examples, we could try to help.

but right now i have no idea what is wrong so i have no idea how to help you.

all i can say is, maybe you are looking for the wrong thing from college. college should be a chance for you to pursue what you are truly fascinated by. maybe you are just trying to use college to get a job. that is not what college is for.

Oh, stop it. It's not wasted, it's an INVESTMENT, and in yourself at that. You're putting great stuff into your character: self discipline, pride, accomplishments, endurance, just a bunch of great qualities and abilities which later you'll be soooo satisfied over.
On yer feet, soldier, back to the books. Your As are waiting for you.

It's because it's frustrating to have to earn twice the salary of drop-outs. College destroys your future and it a long-sighted stupid decision. Live in the now!

it's all what you make of it. college basically teaches you how to
learn & find the answers that you'll need later in the career you choose; and gives prospective employers some idea of your pro-
ficiencies.

Well, a BA degree will generally get you a management job at Wal-Mart making $40K a year.

It will generally get you 5K more everywhere else.
