We use yahoo messenger and webcams to talk "face to face" with family and friends all over the world. The video can be a little choppy but the audio is usually good. It does require that you both have access to a computer and the internet.

The cheapest way to communicate is through internet by chat, chat with webcam or email. Because international calls is expensive and you cannot talk a long way.

You could use yahoo messenger. However the voice quality is a little bit choppy when you use it. If you want to communicate using the computer, you could use skype. The quality is better than yaho messenger....

you could download it in this site... http://www.skype.com/

You can talk and send text messages through phone, then you can also send email, chat or talk through internet and computer. You can also write and mail it or fax but requires more time and effort.
