I moved a 5 foot specimin at my house. Just give it plenty of water when you move it. Like every day.
A better way to move it is to take a shovel and dig all the way around it, and keep the cuts open til spring. Again give it plenty of water. In the spring, go ahead and dig it up from the bottom. The clearing from the sides forces it to make a denser root system so it is less likely to go into shock when you finally move it. Since roots grow faster in the winter, this is a good time to dig around the sides.
I'm in zone 8 so mine are still blooming. Wait til there are no flowers left before you dig.
