I sympathise with you. I just decided to sell mine. They look regal but are a pain to maintain. Wash with soft water or your alloys will go. Wax with a good liquid wax avoid using the paste because getting if off completely will require a magnifying glass. If you are a nut buy a electric buffer. If you really love your car get it teflon coated. It preserves the shine and protects against suface scratches. Get it done by your dealer or from a reputed shop. If you have connections in the US get a tube of GS27 (google GS27 to know more). I have used it - works with surface scratches reasonably well.
Most important - learn to live with scratches - they will show up on black. If you can see the pimple on your forehead standing about 3 feet away from the car - you are going good.

I've owned several black vehicles -- lost most of my hair trying to keep them clean. I swear, the damn things would get dirty seconds after I spent hours washing and waxing them. The best technique I found was to hand wash (always!) with a very mild automotive soap and wax the car with a black colored silicon wax. It would cover the very small imperfections for a short while (two minutes if lucky) and still give good protection from the elements.

i own a repair shop, and you need to use real good car wax on it anything with carnuba i it will work well,as for the light scratches they will polish out of it,,as for taking care of it,,its black, every time someone sneezes they will get dusty,so this is part of the curse of the black car,but they look good ,one good thing about them, even dirty ,,there still black, but there hard to maintain,,all you can do is keep it waxed good other than that join the club of no spare time ,because it will take all your spare time to keep it clean,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Black makes everything visible, really any paint you have to maintain, I would go with grey or silver or just keep it the original color your car value will be worth more.

High quality wash and wax. Dry with a chamois, and buff. Make sure your chamois is clean (no sand/dirt in it) and the car is completely clean before you start rubbing (check for spots you may have missed).
Always wash when paint is cool, never wash in the sun.. warm/hot water is always best.

Wash yourself at car wash. Don't use any of the brushes or automatic washes. No matter if they say "...they're made from special fabrics that won't scratch your car..." It's a big fat LIE... Dry immediately with a schami (?spelling sucks) in the shade. If you're in the sun, it dries faster, duh! Keep it waxed. You may consider having someone buff it for you! This would take care of all the cosmetic minor scuffs/scratches that haven't gone thru the clear! If it's gone thru the clear, you may need it color sanded and buffed...

Buy some wax and wax it after washing by hand so you know it is clean water without any sand or particles that can scratch the paint.

All i can say is make sure when you get your car washed, shell out for the more expensive place because chances are their towels are better. Dirty towels may contain grains or dirt in it & it can scratch your black paint.
