Even though it seems long, 5 months really is not that long. Just relax and keep trying. If after a year or two, you may want to speak with a fertility doctor to see what is up. Some couples get pregnant every time and some it takes a little time. Good luck!

Well, being in the military, I can tell you this. There is always a baby boom after a deployment. So here is what you and your husband need to do. Go at least 120 days up to 365 days without sex. Then, when you are ovulatiing, let him have at you. You will most likely be pregnant within a month after that.

Put more men on the job.
Don't sneer. Studies have proven that women who have sex with more than one man get pregnant at a much higher rate. Even if the other guy wears a condom. A woman's body reacts to the multiple partners and 'tries' to conceive to take advantage of the probablity of getting good genes from the multiple partners.

Age doesn't have so much to do with it, as much as health factors. If you're at all concerned, talk to your gyno about this! But honestly, 5 months is NOTHING to be worried about. It took me over a year and a half.
Good Luck!
