Taco Bell isn't the only fast food chain to undergo a scare. Jack in the Box poisoned lots of people back in the 80s.

Several Taco Bells in New Jersey and Long Island have temporarily closed.

Will you go back to Taco Bell and are you starting to worry more about your food?

(i.e. recent spinich e-coli and other such outbreaks)

While I agree that Taco Bell isn't the only fast food chain with an issue, the whole "scare" has me rethinking the wonderful world of fast food. I'm trying to be fair, because even before this happened, I wasn't a Taco Bell fan. Perhaps my experiences at my local Taco Bells are why: they aren't real clean. You know how you get that vibe when something inside you tells you to flee the scene---well, I have learned my lesson and won't go back there.

I work for Taco Johns and I've worked for Taco Bell too. I've worked for a lot of food places. I kid you not, Taco Bell uses powdered grade D meat. Grade D beef is the grade used in Dog Food. Taco Johns uses 100% ground beef and they cook it in a steam jacketed kettle. Not out of a bag and mixed with water. My friend works at Taco Bell and I can't help but say that I'm surprised they aren't all closed down by now. I feel the same way about Burger King, who lets their hamburger meat fall from the charbroiler into a pan of grease, to be transfered to a pan of grease... held there and then microwaved before you eat it. Food just is never really what you wish it was. Hardees and Carl's Jr. are the only really fresh food joint. Subway... trust me... Subway has problems too. Don't believe everything Jared says.

I love taco bell. I worry about the recent outbreaks but I usually just get a normal taco with cheese and beef and sour cream. No lettuce or tomatoes. I also check my taco before i even bite into it. So i'm not too worried about any heath issues from eating at taco bell.

I hate Taco Bell and at age 8 I did get food poisoning from them, I think it was the sourcream was old..ever since then I have never really liked Taco Bell. I go when there's no place else to go and when I am truly broke, but that's it. If it went out of business I wouldn't give a flying hoot.

I live in Northern California. Our Taco Bells don't poison us more than usual.
Since Taco Bell doesn't serve spinach, I don't get the connection.
Eating out ANYWHERE is risky for hepatitis, e. coli, TB, all kinds of things if you have a compromised immune system.

I never cared much for Taco Bell anyway. A few years ago, Chi Chi's had the same scare, from green onions. They closed down in a lot of places.
Yes, it is causing me to think twice about what I get to eat at a fast food restaurant. My favorite place is McDonald's or Wendy's.

Well maybe when the scare dies down, but yes you are right you have to becareful where ever you eat. Most restaurants have different Health code grade like A B or C, look for that. Sometimes the grade codes don't mean anything. There is a restaraunt where I live that is super nasty, and they still have a grade code "A" and it's all because the owner is in good with the Health Inspector. maybe we should all just cook at home for a while.

I live on Long Island and I will go back to Taco Bell again. My local one was not one of the ones closed. I may wait another week or two, but I will definitely be back. :)

I didn't hear about the scare. What happened? Maybe I won't go back to Taco Bell now. I never heard anything about it where I live.
