People say the music business is one of the hardest to get in, as a musician of course. I wonder though how hard this really is for a musician or a band to even go indie label, and how they do it? Do they just send masses of recordings to these labels?

Great question. There are so many ways you can go about it. The industry is changing, and the chances of making millions from being a musician are slim. However, it is still possible! First thing, you have to dedicate yourself to your craft. Second, don't be afraid of rejection (from record companies, radio, etc). Third, start small. Keep your eye on the big prize, but take small steps such as starting by putting some songs on myspace.com. Good luck!!
