On the surface they're a great match for each other.......BUT
It's much more than simply Aries and Aquarius. The respective rising signs and moon placements play a larger part in fleshing out people's full personalities, as do the locations and houses of significant planets.
I'm Aires and my wife was an Aquarius. We got along great for 15 years and then we got divorced, so that should tell you how much faith to place in Astrology. It's not science..... or a guarantee of everlasting love.

This is a general question, so my general answer based on personal experience, as an Aquarian I'd have to say I get along extremely well with most Aries, both male and female (even my daughter sometimes who is a Fire Dragon combo Aries).

Hmm...I bet the chemistry is HOT! Beyond that, it is definitely possible. One really needs to look at each person's entire chart to determine compatibility, but just with the sun sign information, an Aries and Aquarius coudl be a great match as long as the Aries isn't TOO fiery and the Aquarius isn't TOO aloof.
