I developed this blood disorder when I was pregnant called ITP. Basically my body started attacking my blood cells. I would get uncontrollable bloody noses where I would lose up to 12 ounces of blood at a time. They had to put me on steroids and bedrest through out most of my pregnancy.

Does this mean my other pregnancies are more prone to be high risk too?

Btw, my son was born completely healthy.

I would imagine that you would be susceptible to the same condition again, but I would check with an OB before getting pregnant again. They will be able to tell you more accurate info than you will be able to find here... who knows, maybe it is just a fluke thing that will only happen that once, but if you want to know for sure- talk to a doc. Good luck!
