Why don't you just head up to Costa Rica for a weekend? You leave the country legally and then return and are given another 90 days. From Panama city it's about 5 hours to the border.

enjoy your trip, lived in the country for a long time.
about your ticket, your best bet is to check with you travel agent or airline that sold the tickiet to you.
