I don't have caller ID, yet, and I need to answer the phone in case it's my kids. I don't have time for their garbage and I would never, ever agree to buy something over the phone. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tell them that I am going to the bathroom, make funny noises and announce that i don't remember eating corn, that usually gets rid of em.

IF you live in the US,there is a National Do Not Call center whereas you call them,and put your number on that list.

Go to donotcall.gov and register your phone number there if you have not already done so. This won't get rid of charitable and political pitches, but it will get rid of the septic tank cleaners.

Depends on where you are, in many states you can be put on a no call list. then it would be illegal for them to call you in the first place.
