If you're into European pop, I highly recommend Kira (www.kira-online.de). Stylistically she ranges from soft to hard pop-rock. She's my absolute favorite. Of all her songs, my favorite thus far--which, by the way, hasn't even been released as a single yet--is "Wir sind mehr" from her album Goldfisch. It's beautifully crafted and makes me swoon every time I hear it--and I'm speaking as a professional musician myself. "Wenn du den Himmel nicht aufmachst" comes in at a close second and "Nie zu Hause" at a close third. Of the material from her first album, Inauswendig, I like "Alte Frauen".

Check out ANY of LIVE's cd's -- they are phenomenal; as are Nickelback and Candlebox.
LIVEs newest is Songs from Black Mountain, and it is one of their best ever. One of those CDs that you dont have to change songs; you can just listen straight through to Ed Kowalcyk's lyrics and voice and know you are hearing something profound!
