I just want to make sure I'm getting it right, but they're supposed to be made of metal right?

I know this sounds silly, but I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Die cast is a term used for a process of "casting", or, forming something. The term "die", in this context refers to a mold/shape/form used in the process. Diecast is commonly used, in the toy business, to denote, ta-da, what you already know to be true ^.^. It also refers to the manufacture of anything that requires a mold in which to pour a substance in order to be formed into a preformed shape..for example, drill bits, toy car bodies, et al. The "die" is the mold that the metal or other material is poured into in order to make the object.
