Yes, I save almost all of them. Why I don't know, but then I go back and look at them and it brings back some good memories.

I recently found a Christmas card from many years ago from a woman who used to be my babysitter. It was a Christmas tree that held dimes in it. There was one dime still left in it. The dime had turned very black. We cleaned it up and it was dated 1965. It was probably new when it was put in.

I don't even know how I've kept that card all these years through I don't know how many states and moves. I do treasure it though.

I also have cards from relatives that have long passed away and it's nice reading the cards and remembering loved ones.

I used to, but then it just gets to be too much, but I still have my parents greeting cards and the last ones I got from other passed on family members. I keep the Christmas greeting cards for a respectable amount of time, then after about a month after Christmas I get rid of them.
:)

I save the ones with pictures or personal notes. If its just a card without anything written besides Love, The Smith Family, I toss it when I put my Christmas decorations up.

St. Joseph's School in Pine Ridge, or somewhere like that, accepts the unused half of Christmas greeting cards to re-use.

You can do it yourself, by keeping the illustrated part, tearing off the signed or written part to keep if you wish, and adding the illustrated part to a larger piece of cardboard or paper.

I'll try to find the URL or address where to send the illustrated or top part of the card.

They have been then laminated to make seasonal place mats. those impressive women folk made placemats for all ninety+ citizens of this domicile!

I keep them for about a year, and then I just keep the ones that have a lot of sentimental meaning for me. I just love nice cards.
