I have bought computer.I use it for 10 years and then damage.I try to fix it myself.I send the hard disk to shop.I try to open the computer but it want me to click f1 but it cannot detect keyboard .Why?

Is the keyboard plugged into the mouse port?
(Only possible with PS2 connectors)
You did not say what sort of damage. If the keyboard is plugged into the right port, and it still does not see the keyboard, either the keyboard is broken (easy and cheap to replace) or the keyboard UART on the motherboard is broken (hard and expensive to replace).
If the problem is not the keyboard, you may as well look for a new computer. Anything 10 years old is probably not worth spending much on.

The keyboard might be bad, but thats hard to say since I don't know how old the keyboard realy is. I would try to use another keyboard. The mechanical reason is unkown. I would try to use a USB key board but since the computer is like ten years old it might not have USB at all. I hope you get this resolved. good luck....Oh yea you can use either one keyboard or mouse ps2 I have done this and works......

Obviously, the problem is beyond your area of expertise. I think you should have sought professional help, however, with a 10-year-old PC, it is doubtful whether or not you should put any money into it.
I hope you will try to find an updated, basic PC at a reasonable price. Try Dell or HP and look for refurbished. Go to the website often. Occasionally you hit it just right and can get a good deal - sometimes with free shipping.

it might be the keyboard is broken or malfunctioning in some way. try using another keyboard, and see if it detects that. otherwise, it might be something wrong with the port, motherboard or bios. honestly after 10 years, a computer isn't going to run perfect anymore.

It could be bad keyboard, plugged into mouse port, or bent pins on the ps/2 plug. if so take a needle nose pliers and straighten them out.
Have you thought about getting a new computer yet.
you are talking like almost prior to Pentium. anything could be wrong on a computer that old.
but try new keyboard or fix yours first.

if you got a usb keyboard ,it won't work in the post stage , unless you use a ps2 keyboard to get into the bios , and set it up for usb support ,during post
