Yes get a new outfit! You should look as good as you feel! Check around work, see if anyone else is planning on going alone. If you find someone (that you like) ask if they want to go with you. Have a GREAT time. Merry Christmas
PS I think it sucks that your husband won't go with you.

no take a fun friend with you and act as if he doesnt go means nothing to you. go out after words for coffee or shopping . in fact make a day of it take your friend with you and pick a new outfit and dont hit the cleasance rack
never ever let him think you cant have fun unless he is there! have fun
