A real fake? I've seen a lot of people asking questions about Philly. That's what the plaque says next to the Liberty Bell!

It means it is a fake recreated using the original specifications or manufacturing process.

Authentic Replica? This is what is called a contradiction in terms..Replica means copy..Authentic signifies the original. IF anything, they SHOULD have just left out "authentic"..authentic, to expand on the word, also means "The Real Deal", "none other", et al. Check out a Thesaurus (sp?). They used an additional, unnecessary term. IF it's the AUTHENTIC Liberty Bell, "replica" is unnecessary

G'day shermynewstart,

Thank you for your question.

That is an oxymoron or contradiction in terms like freshly frozen. If it is a replica, then it cannot be authentic.

An authentic good is something that has been made or created by a certain person. A replica is a copy.

I have attached sources for your reference
