Styx is the best. They didn't become "corporate rock" until they released Kilroy Was Here. And then they went back to putting out good rock albums. They tour like crazy and they are the best show I've ever seen to this day.

Kansas--Very deep and meaningful lyrics and the way they use the synthesizer was amazing.
Boston came in a very close second -- Thom Scholz had a vocal range that was second to no one.
Styx sold out with that mess they started selling "Lady?" "Come Sail Away??" WTF???
Foreigner had some promise, but they went the tragic Top Forty way, as well.
