I am looking for a promise ring to give to my boyfriend of almost 4 years, It is very simple to find them for women but I haven't had much luck finding one for my man. I have been doing a lot of searching online and gone to a few jewelry stores near me but all I've found is wedding bands and engagement rings. Any ideas of where to look?

This is in response to Alskarinna, we're both young (19 and 20) I'm going to school and want to get my degree before I settle down...and if HE wants to get married he should ask :-) lol

I got my boyfriends promise ring on eBay. They have all kinds of metals, stones, cz's, whatever you want for a variety of prices. He loves it, too!

No offense, but if you're an adult (you didn't state your age) and you've been dating a guy for 4 years, you're nuts! I don't think people should date past 3 years if it doesn't lead to marriage. You must have a lot of patience. Why not just get an engagement ring? It's been 4 years already. Time to take the relationship up a notch!

I really like the rings that my boyfriend and I exchanged...we found them together at a shop specializing in Irish things...they are silver "spinner" band rings with shooting stars on the inner band which 'spin' independent of the main band. We like to hold hands and I play with the spinning part of his ring. Or when I am thinking of him I spin mine. It's fun! We're not planning on marrying, though.

I agree that four years is a long time but then don't know all of the factors involved in your situation. As for your question I don't know if such an item exists. Why not simply give him a ring with his favorite semi-precious stone in it with a note that this is a symbol of your promise to ________?

God people does he have to come out and say it! He's gay! Hey there dood.. Nice to meet u... I have a friend and he has a life partner. He made his promise rings. He is a welder and creates a lot of art from industrial realted things... You should make them or have some one make them for u. I hope this has helped...

I don't think they make them. I didn't think people did that anymore. Pick out a plain ring for a finger other than the ring finger and have it engraved that you promise yourself to him.
