It is amazing how many times a week this question is asked. Do you REALLY believe that some aftermarket company has come up with a device that will add 25 hp to an engine that Honda, Ford, Mercedes, Porsche, etc., etc., doesn't use? These wild HP and fuel mileage increase claims made by these dopes are all done in a controlled lab setting on a modified vehicle running at REDLINE. For 99.5% of all other driving the standard air box (and it is also a cold air intake by the way) delivers the maximum HP to rpm and fuel mixtures. At best you will see two HP and possibly 0.05 % mileage gains using a tube running over 3500 rpm. You would gain more HP by switching off the AC. Save your money unless you are building a racing engine.

Ditto. CAI's have to be one of the great aftermarket scams. At best you are only likely to see a few HP gain and then only in a narrow part of the powerband. At some revs you might even get a power loss!
